Have you ever looked at your to-do list and wanted to call it a day before you even began? We have all been there. Procrastinating even on the most simple of tasks.
In the end, we rush our tasks or skimp some and end up not achieving our targets.
We all want to have productive days. We all strive to get things done in the shortest amount of time. We all want to achieve our targets. We all want to be the best in what we do. How do we go about it without straining ourselves? Without feeling like we have so much to do but so little time?
Being productive is a habit one needs to build over time. It also requires consistency. Everything we need to achieve is possible.
However, the art of being productive has become complicated and over exaggerated. There are so many do’s and don’t yet it’s really not as difficult. To make it easier, here are 4 tips to stay productive as a consultant.
Write it
Write down what you want to achieve. Set a daily target. Be specific. Be very clear. Write it in simple language so that you don’t lose track. Be specific about email time access, calling schedule and even social media management for your business.
Assess it
After writing it down, assess what you have written. Is everything important or urgent? What can be done another day or later in the day. What can you delegate? For anything that you are not going to do immediately, set a time frame of when you will work on it.
Block it
Are all the tasks you have achievable and realistic? Can you group some tasks? Can you do fewer tasks that will help you move forward with your business. Block your time to achieve your tasks. Whether it’s thirty minutes or one hour without any distractions. Say NO as often as you can. Focus!
Do it
We spend so much time thinking about what we need to do instead of doing it. It actually becomes easier when we start.
